APARTMENT shortlisted for the 2021 UKLA Book Award

Samokat’s Apartment by Alexandra Litvina and Anna Desnitskaya is travelling around the world and is attracting more and more attention among readers and the professional community. The latest recognition is the shortlist of 2021 UKLA Book Award, in the 3-14+ information book category, in the UK. This award celebrates well-written, engaging ‘reads’ alongside outstanding illustration and design. It is also the only national award judged entirely by teachers.

The honor is doubled as The Apartment is the only translation in the shortlist of 24 titles. It was translated into English by Antonina W. Bouis and was published by Abrams Books for Young Readers (the USA) in November 2019. 

UKLA (UK Literacy Association) will announce the 2021 winners at the UKLA virtual International Conference on the 2nd July 2021.
